Autumn Is Upon Us

Autumn is finally here!!! You're probably wondering why I'm celebrating that?
Well this means I can now dust off my tweeds, dig out my natural colours, wrap up warm and create more styles!
So what colours are in this year? What goes with what? Where should you shop at for a new autumn suit? All will be answered here, have no fear. All you have to do really is look out your window or take a walk in the countryside and you'll immediately be inspired. Take notice of the withering leaves turning from their rich green to an orange and finally to the crunchy brown. Bask in the remainder of the golden sunshine which reflects all the colours off the trees and leaves.

Autumn I find is the easiest season to style for, down to the one factor that all the main colours for autumn blend very well with each other. The main colours are as followed:
- Greens (Olive)
- Browns (Light & dark)
- Creams (Light & dark)
- Reds (Dark/deep)
- Blues (Dark/deep)
- Tans
- Grey (Dark)
and
- Rust
So they are the main colours, but what can you wear with what? What combinations work best?
Personally I love doing the stereotypical country themed suit; greens, creams & browns. I think it's sharp, it blends very nicely together but that doesn't mean it doesn't stand out! Not only that but the thicker layers keep your body heat in on those cooler days and if you get too warm and have to remove the blazer you'll still look dapper as this particular waistcoat has a notched lapel.
Blazer, waistcoat & pocket-square from "Marc Darcy". Chinos from "Burton's Menswear". Tie from "Marks & Spencer's". Watch from "Stuhrling". Lapel-pin was handmade by myself.
But Ryan what do I do when the autumn weather starts to get colder and colder?
Don't panic! If you're thicker layered waistcoats are no longer cutting it and you need to switch to a jumper then that's okay. Turtlenecks are the perfect solution to not only keep warm but to also stay trendy and dapper. Turtlenecks are making a comeback this year, I've already seen them take off in stores and on the streets.
So where do I recommend buying your autumn suit from? Well the first and obvious choice that comes to mind is of course Marc Darcy. The blazer and waistcoat showcased above is Marc Darcy and they are beautiful to wear. Here are the links:

Waistcoat - marcdarcy.co.uk/index.php/heritage-tweed-collared-waistcoat-with-contrast-3424.html
But I highly recommend you browse their site first as they have just dropped their brand new Autumn/Fall collection and I have to say it's incredible! (marcdarcy.co.uk/index.php/new-arrivals.html)
But where else do I recommend you browse/purchase from, well the next two are Next and Reiss
I haven't linked Next as they collection is so vast that it'll all be down to a personal preference when you browse there. Whereas Reiss collection is specifically for Autumn 2017.
I'm going to leave you with these Autumn suits from my 2016 collection. I hope you are able to take some inspiration from them and I'd love to see your Autumn suits! You can find me on Instagram at "#gentsstylebible" or drop me an email at "gentsstylebible@outlook.com"
Stay dapper!
