My Favorite & Latest Suit

A popular question I get from people is "Ryan, what is your favorite suit?" and I'm always stuck for an answer. Now I own 17 blazers, 4 full suits and 18 waistcoats. I've never been able to pick a true favorite, my girlfriend has easily but me...Nope!
UNTIL NOW!
My most recent purchase is a three piece purple suit from my favorite suit brand/designers 'Marc Darcy'.

It's a sharp, light-weight and slim fitting masterpiece!
Let's start with the material; right off the bat I must say it's extremely soft and smooth to touch, I was amazed when trying it on at just how smooth it felt. When I was trying on the blazer my arms just glided down the sleeves. But once I had the blazer on fully I was surprised at how light it really was, it almost felt like I wasn't wearing it. Now some people may see this as a bad thing, but I can assure you it's really not! The slim fitting design the entire suit has doesn't restrict movement at all, nor does it twist and lose it's shape during the day; thus there is no more moments in your day where you'll spend time adjusting yourself. Not only that but the slim fitting design holds in any excess shirt that may be hanging over and grips firmly to your waist and chest.
Now let's move on to the colour, how can this not draw attention?! Every time I wear just a single piece from this suit, whether it be the blazer, waistcoat or even trousers. I'm always complimented on it, it never fails to turn a few heads. Now granted it's a very vibrant colour but that certainly isn't a bad thing. The thing with sartorial fashion is after all to be different from everyone and having this vibrant purple in your style is certainly going to contribute to that fact.
I've been able to mix and match this colour with quite a few different styles now and I'm no where near finished at mixing it with other styles. Take a look here:
Now let's move onto the final few details. This suit will never fail you. I mean just take a look at this lining!

Absolutely stunning! Firstly you can't argue with camouflage but secondly the colour contrast it has is simply striking. The silk light blue alongside the silk purple is a contrast which I'd never thought I'd see in a suit. And you know what, I'm glad I have! This lining follows all the way down the sleeves, inside the waistcoat and of course down the back of the waistcoat. But obviously not in the trousers.
Now the buttons. The blazer is a two button down style but only the top one is done up; (first & most important rule of wearing a blazer). And the waistcoat has 5 buttons down (never do up the bottom button). They are a shade of deep burgundy mixed in with a dark brown (wooden like, but not real wooden buttons). These buttons follow into one of the many pockets that are inside the blazer; there are 4 pockets in total but 1 is simply for decoration. There is your two chest pockets (one either side) used to hold your phone/wallet & there is the lower pocket (A.K.A the money pocket). The decorative pocket is located in the top left of the blazer. There is also three pockets on the waistcoat, the two standard lower waist pockets and one singular upper chest pocket.
And finally lets talk about the lapels. This particular suit has a peak styled lapel, now tradition dictates that a peak lapel should only be worn for formal occasions. As much as this suit is perfect to be worn for any formal occasion (weddings & proms). I've been able to mix it with some other styles/colours/materials to dial it down to a casual looking blazer, but trust me when I say that it doesn't stop turning heads.

I cannot oversell this beautiful suit! I really can't! I've not found a single fault with it, I've not received any negative feedback whilst wearing it and the vibrant purple doesn't fail to brighten up the day! It's available right now on Marc Darcy's website and can be found in many of their official stockists around the country. It comes in sizes from 34R right up to 52R and for only the small price of £149.99.
To close off, here is myself in the beautiful city of Budapest where I turned a lot of heads wearing the full Belmont suit.
